Tree Man

A young woman returns to the allotment which used to be tended by her late grandfather. She finds his old boot and through the magic of tears a planted sapling in the boot comes alive as a Tree Man who brings the garden back to life!

While grieving the loss of his sister Elliot discovers her time-travelling camera which allows him to meet a series of historical characters who help him gain the wisdom and courage to say goodbye. Think of the beginning of the film 'Up' for the style this film is going for. This film is made in a ‘puppetry style’ and so a lot of fun can be had guessing the time period/character in puppet form as Elliot flashes through time. Ways AI incorporated in film: The whole film is generated in AI, except the voice of Emily which needed greater realism in order to increase emotional impact. Images were generated with Runway Frames and then animated with Gen-3. Act-One was used for parts of dialogue and facial expressions. The sound effects and voices were generated in ElevenLabs. Music was generated in Suno.
The Lighthouse
Years ago while filming a corporate in the remote island of San Salvador I came across this amazing story of two lighthouse keepers running one of the last kerosene hand cranked lighthouses in the world. I was using an old HDV camera and the footage always looked really bad so I never did anything with it.
Now with the power of AI I can clean up the original footage, add new details and effects and make the film it always should have been. I hope you enjoy it.
Ben Richards and the Ministry of Monsters
I was approached to create an entry for the 2025 Project Odyssey AI Film festival. Ben Richards is the sole student of Folklore and Mythology at the University of Cambridge, a fact far more interesting to himself than to the other students at the university. After a terrible date in which he bores her with a story about the Sea Goat, Ben encounters a mystical Wendigo in the backstreets of Cambridge, which leads him to be recruited into the Ministry of Monsters, a secret government department created to hunt down the monsters of the world.

Sometimes you just have to think about how amazing these AI tools are and just make something that would have taken a big team of people and cost an absolute fortune in the past but can now be make by me, amazing. Second place for Runway's second Weekly Community Challenge. A 30 second tour through a persons life as they become a basketball star and pass that on to the next generation. Gen-4 Aleph really came in use for switching up the weather to show the changing seasons and to get shot variety.
The Painted Lady - AI Advert
A high end advert, made entirely with AI to advertise a brand of paint called 'The Painted Lady' Using a mixture of Google Nanobanana, Veo3.1/Flow and Runway for visuals. Suno for music and ElevenLabs for voice and effects. It's amazing that in a short time you can make an advert that would have taken weeks or months before the advent of AI and cost a fortune. AI is just getting better and better and these projects are getting easier to make.

Wimbledon with IBM and The Guardian
Working with the Guardian and IBM to create 2 very different films about the Wimbledon championships. The first film was shot in a studio with Guardian columnists and Greg Rusedski. The second film was about the statistics of Tennis filmed with the Guardian's Tennis correspondent. Here is the second film.
